Status & Recognition
The Association is registered under Section 26 of the Companies Act, 1913, and is an existing company under the companies act 1956 covered by Section-25 thereof as a non-profit making organisation. It is recognised by the Central and State.
Membership
The membership of the Association is open to any association, individual, financial institution, organization engaged in any branch of industry, mining or any profession including law, taxation, consultancy, etc. Several Government undertakings are also its members.
Experience
BIA has a wide ranging experience of more than 75 years with National & International exposure in the field of Industrial sectors.

About Us
Bihar Industries Assosiation
The main objective of this Association is to promote industrial development of this State by focussing attention of the State and Central Government and other authorities towards the impediments in the way of Industrialization and to promote and safeguard the interest of industries in general and industries of Bihar in particular. The Association acts as a representative body with the sole object of advancing and promoting the common cause of industry. It also helps in formulating healthy legislation and State Policies with regards to the protection of Industries in Bihar. It has always endeavoured to maintain harmonious relations between labour and capital and undertakes work of labour welfare and social services.

BIHAR INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION
Known popularly as “BIA’ the Bihar Industries Association was established in 1943 and had been the only apex representative body of the industry & service sector of the united Bihar till 2000 before the creation of Jharkhand State and now the State of Bihar. Its membership comprises of large, medium, and small-scale industries spread throughout the State.
The Association is registered under Indian Companies Act, 1956, Section-25 as a non-profit making organisation. It is recognised by the Central and State Governments as a representative body of Industry & Service sector. It is also affiliated to Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), FISME etc.

About Membership
Bihar Industries Association is consist of more than 650 members & growing continuously. The members are strength of this association. Becoming a member of the “Bihar Industries Association” you can have many rights and privileges.
After a member is declared to have been admitted, the name of the member will be enrolled in the Register of members along with the names of up to three authorized representatives (listed in order of seniority) nominated by it in the Register of members to be specially provided by the Association.
Officer Eligibility
A representative of an Affiliated Organization Member, Special Category Member and Associate Member shall not be eligible for election as an office bearer of the Association as such
Voting Restrictions
The Special Category Member and Associate Member will further not be eligible either for election for the office of Member Executive Council or will not have voting rights.
